Pitch for the Cure

A one mile flat walk around Avista STadium.  Check-in will begin  at 2:30pm and the walk will start at approximately 3:00pm.  All participants will parade on to the field at the end of the walk and will be recognized for their participation and donation to the Susan G Komen Eastern Washington Affiliate.  The night’s festivities include a jerrsey autciton featuring special additiona breast cancer awareness jerseys worn by all Spokane Indians players, pink bats, bases & much more.  All participants receive a technical t-shirt, a donation int heir name to the Eastern WA Affiliate of Susan G Komen and a ticket ot the Spokane Indians Baseball game that night against the Hillsboro Hops.

YMCA Kids Triathlon

When was the last time that your child experienced the thrill of crossing a finish line after swimming, biking, and running? Triathlons are a great way for children to stay fit and get active but they can also help teach your child life long skills that can be applied in every aspect of their lives. Volunteers are needed to help make this event possible! August 10th, 2014 @ 9:00 am (Mission Park)

Food Pick Up

WCFR is looking for a volunteer to pick up produce from one of our food connections on the second Saturday of every month. Volunteer needs a large vehicle to transport several cases of produce/groceries to our location. Must be able to lift and carry 20-50 pounds. Produce must be sorted and organized when arrive at restauant. We appreciate a minimum of a six month committment.

Schedule: Second Saturday of every month at 11:30 AM to start the month of August.

Corporate Receptionist


If you like people, the YMCA needs you. We are looking for someone to help in the YMCA Corporate office to greet guests and visitors and direct them to the appropriate area for assistance. You may be asked accomplish basic computer operations for word processing and provide limited admin support. Previous experience is not necessary only the ability to smile and speak clearly. Clothing Bank Volunteer


If you like fashion, helping people select clothes, sorting clothes, and organizing clothes, this is the place for you. We have many opportunities and times that you may help. Weekdays we sort and organize the clothes that have been donated to us and on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays, we distribute the clothes to our clients. The Clothing Ministry is a loving and caring place that welcomes both volunteers and the clients with open arms.
