Duties: A Northwest Commercial Bakery in business for more than 100 years is recruiting for Bakery Production Workers working in a variety of positions within the department. Will perform a variety of duties on an automated production line including; Scaling, mixing, dividing, proofing & baking products according to company & SQF standards, indexing of product & visual inspection for quality control, placing product from packaging machine onto a tray in the correct pattern, inspecting product & package for damage, correct code & correct bag, and placing filled tray onto rack for movement to the shipping area. 

Requirements: Must have a High School Diploma or GED.   3 months of related experience in automated manufacturing OR related experience in manufacturing or assembly desired. Available to work all required shifts and days, including holidays as employer is a 24/7 operation; able to pass pre-employment math test, background check, drug screen, and physical (Falsification on application will immediately disqualify applicant): positive safe work ethic; team player; detail oriented & reliable; able to stand for the entire shift; perform repetitive lifting (NOTE position is PHYSICALLY DEMANDING); and willing to join the Bakers Union 30 days after hire.

Cleaning Person

Duties:  We’re seeking a detail-oriented individual to perform a variety of cleaning duties in support of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment. 
In this position you will:
• Clean, polish and disinfect assigned areas, furnishings and fixtures 
• Periodically clean windows, walls, ceilings and doors
• Use dry mop, wet mop, broom or vacuum to clean floors
• Clean, sanitize and stock in bathrooms 
• Discard trash, medical waste and recycling
• Mix, properly use and dispose of cleaning chemicals
• Move furniture, equipment and supplies as necessary

Requirements: Previous customer service experience and housekeeping or custodial experience; ability to read, write and verbally communicate in English. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.

Duties:  Cleans and stocks assigned rooms/suites to meet established cleanliness and quality standards. Makes beds, cleans rooms (bathroom, bedroom, sitting room, etc.), dusts, vacuums, washes windows/tracks, reports maintenance deficiencies and removes trash, dirty linens, towels and used amenities from rooms/suites. Checks, stocks and transports supply cart. Conducts visual inspection of room/suite prior to completion.

Requirements: Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience required

Duties:  Maintains an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with an emphasis on fast, friendly customer service. Operates check stand equipment such as a cash register, scanner and scale to process customer orders using two aisles to check customers. Engages in suggestive selling and other sales techniques. Processes monetary transactions (i.e., giving and receiving change, etc.) including cash, checks, gift certificates, travelers checks, food stamps, processing coupons, and refunds. Maintains knowledge of current product location, monitors UPC codes and ensures proper pricing. Maintains clean, neat and properly stocked check stand and ensures safe and secure work area. Stocks, prices and rotates merchandise. May be assigned to a multi station self-check-out lane as needed. May be assigned to the customer service counter as needed. Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements: 

  • Perform friendly, courteous, tactful relations with customers and co-workers with composure.
  • Communicate (hearing and speech) to perform customer relation skills.
  • Complete written forms.
  • Conduct visual inspection, read information on merchandise, etc.
  • Lift and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to 20 lbs. frequently and perform repetitious work accurately.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  • Operate check stand equipment such as cash registers, scanners, and scales.
  • Stand for long periods of time, walk rapidly, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently for long periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity and good hand/eye coordination.
  • Learn and memorize a considerable amount of information including PLU codes, location of products, check stand and keyboard procedures and company policies.
  • Ensure accuracy in recording sales and handling monetary transactions with mental alertness and basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
  • Climb and balance on ladders when stocking shelves.
  • Use blades for box cutting.
  • Work in a cooler and freezer.
  • Use household cleaners to maintain work area (i.e., waxes, glass cleaner, etc.).
