WCCC Opens Long Awaited OB/GYN Clinic.

Deaconess Women’s Clinic left the community center almost 3 years ago. Deaconess and Rockwood Clinics saw a lot of changes when they were both bought by a national chain. But the need for a women’s health clinic never left. Hardly a day went by that someone came into WCCC looking for services.
Enter: Unify Community Health at WCCC. August 4, an OB/GYN services clinic opened in the Community Center.  A woman can get a pregnancy test and all the necessary services to take them through the pregnancy, delivery, new born exams and the First Steps maternity support services.
Unify Community Health is part of the Yakima Valley Farmworker’s Clinics (YVFWC). This group also operates Riverstone Clinic, which is a general services clinic at the NE Community Center; as well as operating the Spokane Falls Community Clinic on Mission Ave.
They have an excellent reputation for providing quality health care, which is their motto: “We believe every individual has the right to quality health care.”
We are pleased to fill the gap left by Deaconess Women’s Clinic. Our neighborhood made it clear to us that this was a serious need. WCCC is always listening for the needs of our community. Our mission is to fill that need anytime we can.
