Preparing to Meet Your Bundle of Joy: Saturday Childbirth Class

When: 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m
Where: Deaconess Hospital, Maternal-Newborn classrooms, 800 W. Fifth Ave.
Event Details: This one-day class spends an entire day devoted to learning the nuances of the journey through labor and delivery. We focus on natural breathing and relaxation techniques and practice prenatal exercises using birthing balls, while taking time for small guided imagery segments for teaching relaxation. Our nurses will walk you through the logistics of labor and how your body will prepare to bring your baby into the world. You will learn how to best time your arrival at the hospital as we discuss both non-medicated and medicated births. Short birth-stories are viewed and any and all questions will be answered in this introduction into parenthood. Prepare to meet your bundle of joy! (Class breaks for lunch on your own.) Stages of Labor and Birthing Process

Event Details: Introduction class for any expectant mom who is looking for a detailed dive into the stages of the labor and birthing process. Each week, take a close examination into the progression of childbirth – from the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy to the days leading up to labor, from preparing for your hospital stay to breathing and relaxation techniques. Learn the role of your support team including exercises and work to develop your birth plan. This class is a series of three classes. Lego Club

Converted Creatures – Airway Heights
