Gonzaga Scares Hunger

When: 6:00 p.m.
Event Details: Gonzaga Student Body Association host a campus-wide food drive. Begins at 6 p.m. on the Crosby Steps with a Kick-Off Rally featuring a Bomb Squad performance, free raffle prizes and a costume contest (family appropriate). Following the rally, students will be bussed to nearby Spokane neighborhoods and go door-to-door, trick-or-treating for non-perishable food for an hour. Students will be returned via bus to campus by 8 p.m. The collection will be donated to The Campus Kitchen at Gonzaga University.

2nd Annual Trunk or Treak

When: 4-7 p.m.
Event Details: Pick a theme, make the trunk of your car of the back of your truck a carnival game and give candy away! A Carnival out of the back of our cars in the parking lot. Let’s get the neighborhood connected to us! FREE Hotdogs! Our goal is to fill our parking lot with cars and lots of fun for the kids.

Spook-tacular Preschool Event

When: 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Event Details: You and your little one are invited to join for some silly Halloween fun! Children are invited to explore the not-so-scary “Ghoul-Pool” in which they can undergo an entertaining scavenger hunt, experience fabulous face painting, and can also take part in exciting games that are guaranteed to bring out the Halloween spirit in your little goblin! This adventurous afternoon is recommended for ages 3-6, but all are welcome to enjoy the fun.

Harvest Health Fest

When: 3-6 p.m.
Event Details: The South Perry Learning Center-Neighborhood Networks, the NAACP and African-Americans Reach and Teach Health Ministry are collaborating with Molina Health Care, Avista, Spokane Regional Health, Carrington College, Pride Prep School, United Health Care and other community agencies and congregations to host a Harvest Health Fest, followed by Trunk-or-Treat and other cultural presentations. The event includes free food, free health screenings, vendor booths, prizes, music and children’s activities. Candy donations and volunteers for Trunk-or-Treat are welcome.

Auntie’s Horror Stories 2014

Event Details: Local hauntings historian Chet Caskey, author of “Haunted Spokane: Ghosts & Dark Places in the Lilac City,” and supernatural scribe Kelly Milner Halls, author of “Ghostly Evidence: Exploring the Paranormal,” will be reading from their creepiest works and discussing the history of Haunted Spokane, and what you can do to investigate for yourself.
