Description: We have two locations. One in the Valley and one off Washington and Boone. Proceeds from donations and purchases at both Classy Rack stores support Union Gospel Mission Ministries? That includes Tshimakain Creek Camp for disadvantaged kids, Union Gospel Mission shelter for homeless men, the Crisis Shelter for Women & Children, and Anna Ogden Hall residential rehabilitation facility for women and children.

Help keep track of the issues KYRS covers

Description: Once a month KYRS needs to compile a list of the topics and issues that were covered on the air. This list goes to the Federal Communications Commission, so it’s an easy but important job! Every program host records the topics they cover each week. You would put those lists together into one document. We have a template for you to use! Needed as soon as possible.

Archives Database Development

Date and Time: Ongoing
Location: The Fig Tree; 1323 S. Perry
Description: The Fig Tree is working to complete a database archive of the articles it has run since 1984. Several years have been completed. The task involved data entry based on articles in previous issues. Once the archives are complete, we will need assistance in keeping them current and in retyping articles from previous issues to have them available online.

Epicurean Delight

Date and Time: November 14th

Description: This fundraising event features 30 local wineries & breweries and 30 local restaurants showcasing some of the most amazing food and libations that our region has to offer. Our fundraising event has become known as the most fun black-tie gala in the Inland Northwest and we’re excited that our event has continued to grow!

It takes over one hundred volunteers to ensure the success of this event.

Volunteers are needed to set-up for the event beginning at 8:00 AM and completing by 1:00 PM- Assignments include- Table Set-up, Bar set-up, Opportunity Drawing Set-up, Staging, Glassware set-up, and general preparation assistance.

Evening volunteer opportunities include: Registration, Coat Check, Wine Pouring, Beverage Hosts, Event Hosts, Opportunity Drawing Assistance, Judging Assistance, Finance Table, Cheese Table Host, Ballot pick-up and tally, Clean-up, and other assignments as needed.
